Having recently separated from her boyfriend, now Charlotte finds herself living above a transsexual named Veronica. While Veronica spends his time whoring for cash and watching daytime soaps, Charlotte gets through the nights with a string of meaningless one-night stands. But a suicide attempt, an assault and some white curtains bring the two of them closer, and they end up living their lives similar to daytime soap operas they have been watching.
