Mirta is a rural worker who lives with her mother, sister and niece in a house situated at the top of a hill. The demanding rural tasks that she performs in her daily life and attending to her mother’s health care needs go against her desire of heading toward a religious life. Rubén is about to graduate as an elementary school teacher. He lives with his family in a house situated in the village. His intention to work as a teacher in his own community will be affected by the rules of the educational system.
