Gunn (1967) follows the story of the titular private investigator, Peter Gunn, as he delves into the murder of a notorious mobster, Scarlotti, who had once saved Gunn's life. The main suspect in the case is Fusco, who has assumed control of the criminal underworld. As the investigation unfolds, a mysterious woman named Samantha, who is found naked, appears at Gunn's residence, adding a layer of complexity to the case. The stakes escalate as the inquiry progresses, culminating in the bombing of Mother's, one of Gunn's frequent haunts. In a tense climax, Fusco sets a deadline for Gunn to prove that the mobster did not kill Scarlotti, or face dire consequences.
