Money Crazy (1977) follows the misadventures of a cunning opportunist who is always on the hunt for wealth and fortune. His strategy involves offering his services to affluent individuals, but his plans consistently go awry due to his own foolishness and a streak of bad luck that seems to follow him. After numerous failed attempts, he manages to secure a position as a bodyguard for a notorious gangster, having staged a fake assault to appear as the hero. Concurrently, a ruthless private investigator, driven by greed, attempts to blackmail the gangster using fabricated incriminating photographs. The gangster eventually uncovers the investigator's true intentions and summons him to a meeting. During this encounter, the two ambitious schemers cross paths, and their shared desire for wealth and power leads them to collaborate on a cunning plan involving a woman and a cache of diamonds, aiming to outmaneuver the gangster.
