SOS (1988) follows the misadventures of Stig-Helmer, a novice sailor, and his Norwegian companion, Ole, who inadvertently board a barge and find themselves stranded on a picturesque island within an archipelago. The duo must navigate the opulent world of the wealthy island residents, who are known for their extravagant champagne soirees, luxurious summer homes, and the highly anticipated annual yacht race, all while trying to survive the festivities of Midsummer.
