Excavator

Kim Gang-il, a former South Korean paratrooper works as an excavator driver suprressing his traumatic memories from the past. As a participant in a military operation against the democratic student protests in the early 1980s, he is frequently haunted by the tough, degrading measures that his squad applied to subjugate the reform-calling university students. One day, his excavator unexpectedly reveals the remains of executed protest members secretly buried to small patch amidsts the forest. This sets Gang-il face to face with a dramatic dilemma - as a militia man did he just follow his orders or is he morally and legally directly responsible for the death and memory of the deceased.
