De sentido común
2015 · Documentary · 69 min. · Spain
Phrases like "we have lived beyond our possibilities" and "we must tighten our belts", seem to have found a place in the language of popular wisdom, introduced by the insistence of the mass media and supported by the apparently scientific analysis of "expert" economists. Away from the noise and media frenzy, a small communal radio aims to explore the elements that make up the prism through which we interpret reality and with which the common sense is formed in a society beset by the economic crisis and by the loss of social rights. The discourse that is emitted from the faculties of economy and the most influential think tanks, conflicts with the wisdom that is growing in the margins of the knowledge production spheres that are officially recognized. At this juncture, what is at stake goes far beyond the world of ideas.
