The Serbian Girl (1991) follows the journey of an innocent 18-year-old named Dobrila, who departs from her small Serbian village to join her boyfriend in Hamburg, Germany. The voyage proves to be challenging, and upon arrival, Dobrila discovers that her boyfriend is not keen on maintaining their relationship. Keeping her pregnancy a secret from him, she embarks on a grueling return journey back to Serbia.
