Three Husbands (1950) follows the story of a recently deceased playboy who, upon arriving in heaven, is offered a single wish, a common perk for new arrivals. He chooses to observe the reactions of three husbands, his former poker buddies, as they receive a letter he penned before his death. In the letters, he falsely confesses to having an affair with each of their wives, setting off a chain of comedic misunderstandings and revelations.
