Jock Wallace, a carefree and wandering horse enthusiast, faces accusations from Leslie Hale, who believes he has deceived her Aunt Helen in a horse purchase. Jock discovers Leslie's engagement to Bill Van Dyke, a young diplomat, and follows her to London, where he enters the horse he acquired from Aunt Helen in the prestigious Ascot Gold Cup. As Jock and Leslie's paths intertwine, they fall in love and tie the knot on a voyage to South America. In Buenos Aires, Leslie's jealousy flares when she encounters Kitty Brant, an old flame of Jock's. Leslie wishes for Jock to settle down on his Maryland farm to raise and sell racehorses, but his restless spirit yearns to follow the thrill of the racetrack.
