In Big (1988), a 12-year-old boy named Josh Baskin makes a magical wish at a carnival fortune-teller machine to be "big." Overnight, he awakens as a 30-year-old man, thrust into the adult world. Struggling to navigate his new life, Josh lands a job at a toy company, where his childlike perspective brings unexpected success. As he experiences adulthood—romance, responsibility, and independence—he begins to miss the simplicity of childhood. The film is a heartwarming blend of comedy and fantasy, exploring themes of innocence, growth, and the bittersweet journey of growing up—or in Josh's case, growing up too fast.
