Killer Bees (TV)

A pretty doctor and her charming entomologist turned taxi driver counterpart are competing in a deadly race against the clock when a swarm of killer bees are released and threaten the lives of the entire population of the Spanish tourist island of Majorca. Upon return to her hometown of Majorca, Karla’s father Hans is stung by a bee and collapses, developing some concerning symptoms. Karla, who has a background in medicine, performs an emergency tracheotomy and manages to save his life, but when he is rushed to hospital his condition begins to deteriorate rapidly. While doctors try everything they can think of, there is no improvement in Hans’ condition – until Karla notices the unusual colour of the skin around the sting – an abnormality not even the Director of the Entomological Institute, Dr Alvarez, can fathom. Hans’ case soon becomes common as the swarm of bees make their way through the island, stinging everyone who inadvertently stumbles across their path. Karla, who knows someone or something, is behind this lethal concoction, tracks down the handsome Ben, a former entomologist turned taxi driver, and together they try and track down the cause of the epidemic, before the entire island population is wiped out.
