Dollar (1938) follows the lives of affluent millionaires, including Ludvig and Sussi Battwyhl, Louis and Katja Brenner, and Julia and Kurt Balzar, who enjoy a life of leisure without apparent work. They embark on a mountain vacation, where romantic entanglements abound among the group. Their tranquil retreat is disrupted by the arrival of a wealthy American woman, adding a new dynamic to their already complex social circle.
