Kiss My Wounds (2022) follows the reunion of three former best friends who once dominated Berlin’s arts and nightlife scene: Maria, a director; Laura, an actress; and Jan, a DJ. They reconvene at a farm in the Black Forest, where Laura and Jan have retreated to pursue a simpler, rural existence. The once-glamorous lives they led have given way to a more mundane reality, filled with both humor and tragedy. As they shed their pretenses, it becomes evident that Maria harbors unresolved issues, setting the stage for a complex and revealing encounter.
