Mun-shik becomes a bitter young man, blaming the fact that his mother was expelled from the house on his father's second wife. The stepmother, Eun-ju, has tried to raise him as her own but she proves unable to overcome his hatred. However, their lives all take an unexpected turn when Mun-shik's real mother comes back into their lives.
