The Room (2006) follows Alex, a trisomic individual confined to a wheelchair following an enigmatic fall down the stairs. His life is marred by the traumatic influence of his parents: Max, a once-aspiring composer now consumed by madness and violence, and Marie, a cold and hysterical woman. Alex finds solace only in his sister Melinda, who has dedicated years to his care. However, Melinda, pregnant and abused by her parents, is on the brink of leaving to start anew, abandoning Alex in the process. Amidst this familial turmoil, a mysterious door materializes in their home, leading to a chilling scream whenever someone enters. The family soon realizes they are trapped, with every exit inexplicably sealed. One by one, they vanish into the ominous room, forcing them to confront their deepest, darkest secrets. As tensions escalate, the family teeters on the edge of self-destruction, leaving the audience to ponder the sinister enigma concealed within... THE ROOM.
