Badla (2019) follows Naina Sethi, a prosperous businesswoman who awakens to a horrifying situation: she is confined in a hotel suite with the lifeless body of her paramour, Arjun. Accused of his murder, she is taken into custody. Released on bail, her attorney, Jimmy, enlists the help of renowned defense lawyer Badal Gupta, who boasts an unblemished record spanning four decades. As Badal and Naina delve into the events of that fateful day, the lawyer uncovers numerous inconsistencies in her account, raising doubts about her innocence.
