Narratage (2017) follows the story of Izumi Kudo, a second-year university student, who gets a call from her former high school drama club advisor, Takashi Hayama, played by Jun Matsumoto. Hayama invites her to participate in a graduation performance. Flashing back to her high school days, Hayama had been a source of support for Izumi as she navigated the challenges of school life. Over time, Izumi developed romantic feelings for him, but she tried to suppress them. After a year of separation, they reunite, and Izumi discovers that her feelings for Hayama remain strong, while Hayama also grapples with his own emotions towards her.
