The Convent (2018) is set in the early 17th century, where a young woman named Persephone is wrongfully accused and faces a life-threatening trial. Just as her fate seems inevitable, a mysterious figure, the Reverend Mother, steps in to offer her refuge and a glimmer of hope. The Reverend Mother is the self-appointed leader of a small religious retreat, a secluded Priory, where the Sisters dedicate their lives to the Lord and seek redemption for their pasts. However, upon her arrival, Persephone is haunted by terrifying visions, leading her to realize that the sanctuary she sought may be a battleground for her very soul.
