Copper Canyon (1950) follows the tale of Johnny Carter, a skilled marksman who is mistaken for a legendary figure, Colonel Desmond, by a group of copper miners in distress. These miners, who are Southern veterans, are being harassed by local rebels led by deputy Lane Travis. Seeking protection, they enlist Johnny's help, believing him to be the famed Colonel Desmond. Despite the mix-up, Johnny's arrival in Coppertown brings more than just assistance; he also finds himself drawn to Lisa Roselle, a charming gambler whom the miners suspect of being involved in their troubles.
