"Mil sonrisas" is a movie that takes place in a fictional world where people laugh nonstop. There is happiness and joy what causes them, but are victims of a kind of superstition which obliges them to do so because, who quit, it faces certain death in the short term. Some people, in isolation, decide recorded and broadcast images of your day to day without even a smile in an endeavor to show that you can survive out of slavery grin.
