The Fishing Hole (1975) follows the story of David, a photographer and ex-seminarist, whose marriage is on the rocks. He is a man grappling with his own demons, guided by a stern uncle and a wife from whom he is definitively separating. His life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Viviane, a French woman whose own marriage is in turmoil. David becomes her lover and moves into her home, but their affair is soon discovered by Viviane's husband, who sets out to hunt them down. Viviane's housekeeper, Tonina from Emilia, has unique boundaries, accepting only anal relationships to preserve her virginity. When Viviane moves in with David, Tonina follows and disrupts their relationship. Viviane, craving her massager, eventually hands Tonina over to it, leading to a significant change in Tonina's life. Viviane, meanwhile, finds solace in a new Japanese maid.
