Esmeralda

"In 'Esmeralda' he employed a narrative employed a narrative strategy that included the appropation of stock shots from films about the horrors of the Second World War, are projected on the wall and then disrupted through the introduction of objects and actions between the viewer and the screen. Cinema is transformed into the site the site for a conceptual artwork in which the presentation of objects establishes relationships similar to those at play in a museum installation (though from a cinematographic perspective), inasmuch as they augment the capacity for movement and sound. This clashing of elements imbues historical materials with a personal and creative perspective." Jesse Lerner and Luciano Piazza.
