"The Honeymoon Killers" follows Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck, two broken people who find each other through a Lonely Hearts newspaper advertisement. They fall in love quickly, but Raymond has a secret: Martha is just one of many women that Raymond has contacted through the Lonely Hearts program. He's a con man who wines and dines women before stealing as much of their money and possessions as he can. He reveals this to Martha, and she not only doesn't want to leave him, she wants to help him. That's when things begin to turn violent. The Honeymoon Killers is based on the true story of The Lonely Hearts Killers, who operated between 1947 and 1949.
