Io ti amo (1968) follows the story of Prince Tancredi, a renowned abstract artist, who encounters Judy, an air hostess, during a flight. Intrigued by her charm, Tancredi invites Judy to model for him, which she agrees to do. Judy's candid remarks about his art prompt Tancredi to reflect deeply on his artistic direction. Despite Judy's impending departure, they vow to reunite, and their connection quickly evolves into a passionate romance. With Judy's upcoming week off, they plan to spend every moment together. Judy departs, and Tancredi immerses himself in painting her portrait, infusing it with his genuine and intense emotions. Tragically, when the time comes for them to reunite, Tancredi learns that Judy has been fatally injured in a car accident on the very day she left him, as she was driving back to be with him.
