Anonymous (2016) follows the journey of Alex, a Ukrainian immigrant who settles in Canada and is drawn into the shadowy world of cybercrime through an online criminal network known as Darkweb. Initially, Alex's involvement is driven by a desire to support his parents financially, but his activities quickly escalate. He masterminds credit card fraud, ATM hacks, bank breaches, and even ventures into manipulating the stock market. To execute his schemes, Alex enlists the help of a network of service staff and forms a partnership with Sye and Kira to offload the merchandise acquired through his illicit activities. However, Alex's motivations shift dramatically when his mother is unjustly terminated from her job at a bank, transforming his criminal endeavors into a personal crusade against the banking system. The film is loosely based on actual events.
