Dorian Gray (1970) is set in modern-day London and centers around a handsome and affluent young man named Dorian Gray who is deeply infatuated with Sybil, an aspiring actress. Through his relationship with Sybil, Dorian experiences a brief period of selflessness. Concurrently, he is the subject of a portrait being painted by his friend, Basil. Upon seeing the completed portrait, Dorian laments that he will age while the painting remains unchanged. That same night, Dorian cruelly rejects Sybil and succumbs to the allure of a party hostess. The following day, Dorian notices that the portrait appears slightly older, which fills him with both horror and fascination. He conceals the painting and embarks on a life of moral decay. As the years pass, the portrait becomes increasingly grotesque, while Dorian remains physically unchanged by his hedonistic lifestyle. Eventually, Dorian and Basil confront the painting, revealing the true extent of Dorian's moral corruption.
