At the end of the fifteenth century, Christopher Columbus seeks to find a new maritime route that allows to reach directly to the markets of Asia and it is Queen Isabella of Castile who approves the project. On August 3, 1492, Columbus set sail from the Port of Palos and on October 12, 1492, his ships docked on a small Caribbean island called San Salvador. Christopher Columbus has discovered a new continent.
