Amorosa (1986) is a compelling biographical docudrama that delves into the tumultuous life of a writer who embraced life's extremes. The film centers around Agnes Von Krusenstjarna (portrayed by Stina Ekbland), a Swedish novelist (1894-1940) whose literary works spanned from romantic idylls to brutally honest and sexually explicit autobiographies. Von Krusenstjarna's life took a dramatic turn when she partnered with the unconventional bisexual David Sprengel (Erland Josephson). Despite her ongoing struggles with mental instability, Sprengel believed that sexual liberation could serve as a remedy for her condition.
