Mystery Woman: Game Time (TV)

When a reclusive mystery writer dies after an event at her Mystery Woman Bookstore, Samantha determines to uncover the killer. She finds that the truth, however, involving the stolen rights of a computer game, chemical weapons and the Russian mafia, comes with an unhealthy dose of danger. Samantha sets out to solve the mysterious murder of a famously reclusive mystery writer before the death is pinned on an old school acquaintance. As she unravels the mystery, though, the clues indicate that the killing was not committed by his troubled son, his angry ex-wife or an unhinged fan: the murder weapon is determined to be a chemical agent developed by the Russian military, and Samantha correctly deduces that powerful forces are hot on the trail of a computer game potentially worth millions of dollars. Mystery Woman stars Kellie Martin as Samantha Kinsey, Clarence Williams III as Philby, Nina Siemaszko as District Attorney Cassie and Casey Sander as Chief Connors. Guest stars are William Katt as Donald Fiske, Jamie Elman as Randy Lawrence, Eddie Mills as Bradley, Sheree Wilson as Jody, A.J. Trauth as Cameron and Ada Maris as Melinda Estrondo. Mystery Woman is a Hallmark Entertainment presentation. Robert Halmi, Jr. and Larry Levinson are executive producers. Michael Sloan is the show’s creator and Joyce Burditt is the executive producer.
