A woman turns up at a motel on the edge of the desert with nothing but her car and a suitcase full of clothes. She appears to have lost everything else along the way, and it has been a very long way. She hatches a little plan to save herself, a piece of cake, actually. And it falls into her palm like a gift from the devil.
