Simon (2023) follows the journey of a young Venezuelan activist and student leader who, after enduring arrest and torture in Caracas during the 2017 protests, seeks refuge in Miami. Upon learning from U.S. Immigration that granting asylum means he can never return to his homeland, Simon faces a pivotal choice. He must decide whether to build a new life in Miami or return to Venezuela to persist in his fight against the oppressive regime that grips the nation.
