Scarlett (Lina Romay) escapes of the claws of her violent boyfriend and shelters in a barn. There she's raped a Mexican so called Rufo and later she's raped again for James, the butler, who recommends her as maid for the countess. Scarlett is contracted to take care of the grandfather of the countess, an old man humbled in a bed who is glad in all that it sees her. The arrival of Scarlet to the mellow estate of the counts alters the relations of all his inhabitants.
