TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' literary classic. After being arrested and wrongly convicted of treason, Edmond Dantes escapes from the prison of Chateau d'If, after 14 years in captivity. During his stay in this place, another italian prisoner named Abbe Faria confided the secret of a treasure. When Edmund could find it and dig it up, he decided to start a vendetta against those who ruined his life, so he assumed the identity of the powerful Count of Monte Cristo.
