Four Days in September (O Que É Isso Companheiro?) (1997) follows the story of Fernando, a journalist, and his companion César, who become involved with the terrorist organization MR8 to challenge the oppressive Brazilian dictatorship of the late 1960s. During a daring bank robbery, César is gravely injured and taken into custody. In response, Fernando devises a bold plan to kidnap the U.S. ambassador in Brazil, demanding the liberation of fifteen political prisoners in return for the ambassador's safety.
