It tells the story of Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada, better known by the name of Santa Teresa de Jesus or simply Santa Teresa de Ávila (Ávila, March 28, 1515 - Alba de Tormes, October 4, 1582). A nun, Doctor of the Catholic Church, Spanish mystic and writer, founder of the Discalced Carmelites, a branch of the Order of Our Lady of Mount Caramel (or Carmelites).
