In a small fishing village in Sicily, surrounded by garbage and rubble, Arturo is born, the son of a prostitute who dies in childbirth. Arturo is raised by the other prostitutes, but he moves in a strange way, looking at everyone without fear. He has a different look, pure, that instills hope in a world where these women are condemned to survive in a society that marginalizes and relegates them.
