Mukta is imprisonment for 5 years for murder of her brother in law Bahiya Sarnobat ,the prison she is lodged in has female mates who often get in fight with each other. Mukta and her husband Ravindra a poetess studied in same college and got married soon after her marriage she wanted to complete her education by her father in law a wealthy Appasaheb Sarnobat tells her to quit education and look after the family to which she willingly accepts.
