Sumo Vixens (1996) follows the story of Szenjirou Arakauma, a recently released ex-con who joins forces with his old partner Tonpatchi to start anew. However, his past as a yakuza member complicates his efforts to go straight. His life takes a turn when he meets the charming Ruriko. It is revealed that Ruriko's aunt, Kimiyo, was once a champion female sumo wrestler, but she is now on the brink of losing her home to the yakuza. Recognizing Arakauma's past as a sumo wrestler, Kimiyo seeks his help to train Ruriko, hoping she can earn enough money to save their home from the yakuza's clutches.
