Deep Crimson
1996 · Movie · 112 min. · Mexico
Deep Crimson is based on the late 1940s crime case, the "Lonely Hearts Muders" that also inspired the Leonard Kastle's 1970 cult film The Honeymoon Killers. Coral is an overweight, buxom nurse who finds her soul mate in Nicolas, a gigolo with a toupee who seduces and steals lonely widows. She refuses to let him go and abandons her home, her job and her children to be with him. Together they go on a crime spree through the roads of Mexico looking for wealthy women to extort: Nicolas seduces and the insanely jealous Coral murders.
