The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom (1969) follows Harriet Blossom, a woman living in isolation due to her husband's constant work at his brassiere manufacturing business. When her sewing machine malfunctions, she encounters a repairman, Ambrose, who works at her husband's factory. Their encounter leads to an unexpected night together, and when Harriet finds Ambrose still in her attic the next day, she decides to keep him hidden. Over the years, Harriet manages to conceal her secret lover from her husband and from investigators looking into the mysterious vanishing of a man named Ambrose Tuttle.
