Montecristo (TV Series)

TV Series (2006). 145 Episodes. The story begins in 1995 in Argentina. Santiago Díaz Herrera (Pablo Echarri) is a brand new lawyer who plans to marry Laura Ledesma (Paola Krum). But his life changes dramatically when his father, a judge, discovers the father of his best friend, Marcos Lombardo (Joaquín Furriel), in matters related to a clandestine center during the military dictatorship. Alberto Lombardo (Oscar Ferreiro) learns of the judge's investigations and decides to do the impossible to prevent his name from being tarnished. On the one hand, he has the judge killed, and on the other, he takes advantage of Santiago's trip to Morocco to eliminate him as well. Marcos, having betrayed his best friend, returns to the country believing Santiago was dead, and taking advantage of Laura's sadness, helps her and proposes marriage. However, Marcos survived the shot he received and finds himself in a prison in Morocco, where he meets Ulises, who gives him the instructions to find a hidden treasure in Argentina. Ten years later, Santiago manages to escape from prison when a fire breaks out. Victoria (Viviana Saccone), an Argentine plastic surgeon living in Spain, helps him to leave the country, but not before contacting León Rocamora (Luis Machín), Ulises' partner, who joins Santiago in the search for the treasure. They head to Argentina and meet Ramón (Maximiliano Ghione), an actor who was in trouble and is saved by Santiago. From that moment on he starts working for him.
