Men Up (2023) is set in Swansea, Wales, 1994, where five typical Welsh men face their aspirations and deceptions as they take part in one of the earliest clinical trials for the medication that would later be known as Viagra. Among them is Meurig (Iwan Rheon), a man dealing with impotence due to his diabetes and the illness of his wife Ffion (Alex Roach). Tommy (Paul Rhys) is a gay man who secures a spot in the trials despite their initial design for heterosexual men. Colin (Steffan Rhodri) worries about his performance when he meets a woman he connected with through a phone dating service. Pete (Phaldut Sharma) aims to reignite the spark in his marriage, while Eddie (Mark Lewis Jones) presents a tough exterior but harbors profound vulnerability.
