Walk a Tightrope (1964) follows the story of Ellen, portrayed by Patricia Owens, who is blissfully married to Jason, played by Terrence Cooper. However, her past catches up with her when her former spouse attempts to blackmail her, as their annulment was never finalized. Desperate to protect her current life, Ellen devises an intricate scheme involving a hired assassin, Lutcher, played by Dan Duryea. The plan is to eliminate her ex-husband during his next extortion attempt. Unfortunately, a tragic misunderstanding occurs when Jason unexpectedly arrives, leading Lutcher to mistakenly kill the wrong man.
