Ginostra (2002) follows Matt Benson, an FBI agent stationed on the picturesque island of Panarea in the Lipari archipelago, as part of a collaborative effort between the United States and Italy. He and his family, including his wife Jessie and their young daughter Tina, are provided with a secure and luxurious residence featuring expansive grounds and a private cove overlooking the Ginostra volcano. Shortly after their arrival, Matt is tasked with questioning Ettore Greco, an 11-year-old boy who has lost his entire family in a tragic car bombing, allegedly linked to the Mafia. For safety reasons, Matt decides to bring Ettore to his home, leading to a series of revelations that gradually expose a hidden and tragic connection between Matt and the boy, a secret that Jessie is unaware of. As the family's secrets and lies unravel, the once-peaceful villa becomes a place of growing fear and tension, pushing the Bensons to the brink of despair. The danger lurks both outside and within, with the orphaned Ettore caught in the middle.
