The Affair (2019) is set in the tumultuous 1930s Czechoslovakia, where newlyweds Viktor and Liesel Landauer initially bask in the joy and promise of their new life together. However, their marital bliss is soon disrupted by the allure of forbidden desires. Liesel, seeking the passion missing from her marriage, finds solace in the arms of her alluring friend Hana. As their secret relationship intensifies, the looming threat of Nazi occupation adds a layer of danger, putting the Landauers' lives and the intense emotions between Liesel and Hana at risk.
