Mélo (1986) unfolds in the vibrant city of Paris during the 1920s, where a renowned concert violinist becomes entangled in a complex love triangle. The story begins when the violinist, Marcel, encounters Romaine, a charming and fashionable young woman who is married to his old friend, Pierre. Romaine initiates a passionate affair with Marcel, even as Pierre's health begins to deteriorate. There are hints that Romaine might be deliberately worsening Pierre's condition with her treatments. After Marcel returns from a concert tour and Romaine makes a shocking decision to leave Pierre for a secret rendezvous, she has a change of heart and takes drastic measures. Three years later, Pierre confronts Marcel, seeking the truth about their past. The question remains: will Marcel be able to deliver a convincing performance under the weight of Pierre's jealousy and anguish?
