Nativity! (2009) follows the story of a dedicated primary school teacher, Paul Maddens, who is tasked with organizing the school's annual nativity play. The competition heats up when a nearby prestigious school enters the fray, aiming to secure the title of the best-reviewed performance in the area. The pressure intensifies when Paul casually mentions that his former girlfriend, Jennifer, a prominent Hollywood producer, might attend the show and potentially adapt it into a movie. The catch? They haven't spoken in years. With the help of his quirky assistant, Mr. Poppy, Paul's innocent fib quickly spirals into a whirlwind of local fame, parental disputes, and overzealous children vying for stardom. Paul's only chance to salvage the situation and make everyone's Christmas dreams come true is to reconnect with Jennifer and bring Hollywood to their small town.
