A TV Series about the apanish Medicine Nobel Prize Severo Ochoa. Since his childhood in the asturian town Luarca, the young Severo Ochoa showed great interest in medicine and research. To carry out his superior studies, he moves to Madrid, and settles in sudent halls, where he becomes collegues with Federico García Lorca, Salvador Dalí and Luis Buñuel. There he builds up left wing views and his republican conviction. At the same time he starts to excel in the scientific field, and graduates with and honours degree in medicine and recieves a scholarship from the board of Scientific Research which allows him to travel to Germany. In the same year the second republic is proclaimed, he marries Carmen García Cobián and holds the position of physiology lecturer at the Univeristy of Madrid. However, his fruitful stability is broken by the outbreak of the Civil War wich marks the start of his long exile. At first he returns to Germany, but some of the collegues and friends that he made there are soon being persecuted by the Nazis. The future is not promising in England either, where wind of the war has already hit with growing force.
