Renoir (2012) is set in the picturesque Côte d’Azur during 1915. The renowned painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir is grappling with the loss of his wife, the debilitating effects of arthritis, and the distressing news that his son Jean has been injured in combat. However, the arrival of a vibrant young girl named Andrée brings a renewed sense of vitality and inspiration to the aging artist. Andrée's radiant beauty and lively spirit become a source of rejuvenation for Renoir, who takes her on as his final model. Meanwhile, Jean, recuperating at the family home, finds himself captivated by Andrée's enchanting presence. Despite his father's strong disapproval, Jean falls deeply in love with the spirited young woman. As their relationship blossoms in this idyllic Mediterranean setting, Jean begins to discover his own artistic calling, evolving from a wounded soldier into a budding filmmaker.
